I'm not sure what you'd like us to say, we haven't heard you sing.You may be better than them, who knows? But then again, think of all of the people on American Idol who said their friends, family and co-workers supported them auditioning and they blew chunks. If you have natural talent like they say, get lessons and work on technique. It doesn't matter who you are or how famous you are, training is essential for a healthy voice.Edit: Not sure who's immature enough to be giving a thumbs down to the people who are being honest. I happen to train professionally in NYC and be a performer. Sorry we didn't give you the answer you wanted to hear, you came for answers and that's what you got.
In my opinion, Miley's voice sounds like a 50 year old woman's, and Selena's is really computerized. Taylor Swift's is pretty, but really not anything special. I would take this as a compliment though. Also, Taylor Swift definitely has some lung capacity, so if you can hold notes longer than her, that's pretty impressive. It means your friends think you are a better singer than a few well-known artists, which is good.
Well, I don't think it's about the length of the notes. The power, the emotions, the greatness of a voice is what makes it better then anyone elses. I'm sure you have a beautiful voice, and of course, it could be better then Taylor Swift or Miley Cyrus or Selena Gomez. The ability to hold notes for a while is a good quality, but I don't think it should be better then anyone else's just because of that. (Not that I think you're not good!).Hope this helps!
